Step-by-Step Certification Process

Initial Application

Complete the online application form providing your company details, industry sector, product range, number of manufacturing sites, and target certification markets. No fee required at this stage.

Acknowledgement within 24 hours

Quotation & Agreement

BHA will provide a customised fee quotation based on your business size, sector, and product range. Upon acceptance, a Certification Agreement is signed, and the formal certification process begins.

Document Submission

Submit all required documentation including ingredient specifications, supplier halal certificates, HACCP plans, site layout, and manufacturing flow charts via our secure online portal.

Review within 510 working days

Technical Ingredient Review

Our qualified food technologists screen every ingredient, additive, and processing aid against halal requirements. E-numbers, gelatine sources, and alcohol content are all thoroughly evaluated.

On-Site Audit

A BHA qualified auditor visits your facility to conduct a comprehensive inspection of production practices, cleaning procedures, storage, labelling, staff training, and cross-contamination controls.

Certificate Issued

Following Scholars Panel approval, your official BHA Halal Certificate is issued digitally and in hard copy. You gain logo usage rights, directory listing, and access to ongoing support.
